Get Sage CRM - Free

The ultimate goal for any business is to become truly connected with a full view of your customers’ needs. By achieving a complete view, your business can shorten sales cycles, improve customer retention, and find new opportunities. However, to succeed, businesses must harness their internal data and applications, such as sales force automation, customer service, marketing, accounting, and email - across your entire organization.

As a small-medium sized business (SMB) how do you compete with larger enterprise corporations without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on an integrated ERP & CRM system to unify your internal processes? If you are a Sage Accpac ERP user, the answer just got easier – and free!

With Sage Accpac ERP, you now have access to Sage CRM – included free with V5.5. With Sage CRM you can:

  • Manage your customer lifecycle from first contact, to contract, to long-term care.
  • Become a more customer-centric organization.
  • Create seamless processes and open communications among your employees, partners and customers for better control of information.

The most common business process in any organization is the order-to-cash lifecycle typically found in back-office applications. However, businesses can’t compete in today’s marketplace by relying on spreadsheets, contact managers, and accounting software. Forward thinking and successful companies enable their customers to interact seamlessly and empower suppliers, partners and employees with the information they need to be efficient.

CRM can do more than just improve your customer relationships. It can enhance marketing efficiency, reduce operational costs, significantly improve customer satisfaction, and in the long-term, increase revenue and customer loyalty.

To obtain your free copy of Sage CRM you must be current on Sage Accpac ERP V5.5, or contact us today for a free 30-day trial of the online version, SageCRM.com.

Windows 7 - Early Review

Some initial reviews have been published on Microsoft’s Windows 7 and we’ve compiled the highlights.

Windows 7 will look and feel much like Vista, although there are enough changes for you to recognize it is a new operating system. Key improvements include stability, and the revamped user interface, as well as User Access Control (UAC), networking configuration and an enhanced backup feature. You will be pleased to know that the existing flood of confirmation prompts have been reduced and will no longer get in the way of ordinary tasks.

The taskbar will become a complete Quick Launch bar and applications will appear as icons – even allowing them to all show as aggregate under a thumbnail – similar to Mac OS X’s Dock. Built-in applications such as WordPad and Paint have been upgraded and show the ribbon interface like Office 2007 products.

From a technical perspective, Windows 7 will consume far less resources (RAM, processing) than Vista or Windows XP. It boots up much faster than Vista as the number of processes running at boot-up is far less than ever before. Switching between multiple displays will be much easier using key combinations, and the task bar has larger icons that can be pinned to stay in place whether or not the application has been opened.

Aero Snap uses the familiar drag & drop to maximize applications from the Quick Launch tray. The Aero enhancements will allow you to fill one side of the screen with an application by drag & drop. In addition, wireless networking has been tweaked so that you can connect to a network with fewer clicks.

Securing iPhone Access to Exchange

Organizations are increasingly instituting device access policies for remote users requiring access to the corporate network. RSA, VPN, secure certificates are just a few of the steps taken to ensure safe transfer of data to and from the network as well as on the device itself. One such device - the iPhone, had fallen through the cracks until recently. To see further details on what users of the iPhone that access the corporate Exchange server must do to encrypt that traffic, please click the link below to access the InfoWorld Magazine article:
